Guided Canoe or Kayak Tour

If you would like to go out on a canoe or a kayak, but would like to go with someone to show you the way and the paddle technique, why not try our guided tour? Stephen will guide you down the river and show you the sights. He will work with the tides to support your experience, and also give a little instruction on your canoe adventure. Available Tuesday to Saturday, May to September. The tour is from 11-1 and then after the tour you can use the canoe till 3.30 to practice your new skills, if you still have the energy too. ( Tours can be commissioned for other dates on request and subject to availability).

Pedal Boat

Like boats? Like bikes? want to do something unique and quirky and have a little adventure of your own on the water? why not try the Pedal Boat, a totally different and extremely relaxing way to explore the river and get close to wildlife.
You and your chosen companion will face each other, cycling towards each other to go forwards, and away from each other to reverse. It is a unique and gentle way to explore the river, and don’t forget to wave as the river bank dwellers spot the flags.

Twilight Tours

On Wednesday and Thursday evening in July and August you can take part in a guided tours with up to 8 people. You decide on a canoe or a kayak (subject to availability) and our experienced instructors will take you paddling at this magical hour. Tours will run from 5 - 7.30.

Stand Up Paddle Boards

You can hire a pair of paddle boards for the day with a friend, as long as you can prove your competence on the board by performing a self-rescue, sharing your certification or membership of a professional organisation for SUPs, to ensure you are safe on the river. If you are unsure, new to SUPs or a little rusty, you can book a SUP two hour lesson, where all you need to be safe will be covered. Once you have taken a lesson you are able to hire SUPs for the rest of the season with us. Lessons are from 1.30 till 3.30 Tuesday to Saturday, wear something you can wet in and please bring a change of clothes for afterwards - just in case.
