Boat Repair Work
We have a range of work that we can do on customers boats and would be happy to discuss this with you. We carry our fibreglass and wooden boat repairs; painting; engine servicing; general boat repair and refit work, and valeting. If you are not sure what we can do, please ask. For the areas that we don’t cover, there are several external companies that can help out at the yard, these are listed below. We have copies of their professional insurance and there is no surcharge for them being on the yard. Should you wish to use a different supplier, please come and discuss with us first.
One thing we do want to remind everyone about is bringing contractors onto the yard. As we run a boat repair business we do not allow contractors to carry out work on the yard that we can do ourselves. If you wish to use a different contractor you are at liberty to do so, but you will need to take your boat to their yard.
As always, you can work on your own boat or help each other but please refrain from bringing friends of friends on site. We also ask that through the tourism season (April to October) all work is carried out in normal working hours, so it doesn’t interrupt our visitors stay. Any questions or clarifications please ask us.
We do have a list of approved suppliers and contractors for whom we hold copies of insurance and we are happy that the quality of their work meets the standards we require. This list includes:
CC Marine(outboard servicing and boat safety certificate)
Northgate Marine(inboard engine and outdrive servicing)
Creative Covers (canopies, covers and upholstery)
Trevor Preece (boat windows)
Aquaspark (surveys and marine electronics)
Jeckells (canopies, covers and upholstery)
Rowancraft (boat safety certificate and marine gas engineer)
Dominic Buckley (boat surveying)
Mike Smith (boat surveying)
Snugtopz (canopies, covers and upholstery)
If you are using any of the above please remind them to let the office know they are on site. If you wish to use anyone different please discuss this with Simon or Mary, and be aware you may have to take your boat to their premises for them to work on if it is not a contractor or supplier we are happy to have on our yard.
